Jiangxi Normal University is one of the first universities in China to be authorized to confer bachelor's and master's degrees. It grants doctoral degrees as well. It has 6 ESI globally top 1% disciplines (chemistry, materials science, engineering, agricultural sciences, environmental/ecological science, and social sciences) and five Jiangxi provincial first-class disciplines (Marxist theory, chemistry, education, Chinese language and literature, and geography). The university offers 15 doctoral programs, including 14 first-level disciplines and 1 professional doctoral program (educational doctorate). It also has seven postdoctoral research stations, 27 first-level master's degree programs, and 25 master's professional degree programs. In national academic discipline evaluation, Marxism Theory has entered the A-category ranking, while Education, Psychology, Chinese Language and Literature, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, and Music and Dance have entered the B-category ranking.
