On April 21, the Education Roundtable between Jiangxi Province and Finland's Lapland Region was held in Nanchang. Tu Anbo, the full-time vice president of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, presided over the roundtable. Hannu Takkula, Governor of Lapland Region, and Fan Honghui, member of the Provincial Education Work Committee and deputy director of the Provincial Education Department, delivered speeches respectively. Zhou Lisheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the university, along with the heads of relevant departments of the university, attended the meeting.
With the theme of Strengthening Exchanges and Cooperation in the Education Sector within the Framework of Friendly Provincial-Regional Relations, the roundtable aimed to further enhance educational cooperation between Jiangxi Province and Lapland Region. During the meeting, Zhou Lisheng engaged in exchanges with the educational delegation from Lapland Region and jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Educational Cooperation between Jiangxi Normal University and the University of Lapland. According to the memorandum, both sides will engage in in-depth and pragmatic cooperation in areas such as international academic exchanges, faculty and student exchanges, mutual recognition of credits, and joint educational programs.
