During the warm Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse, Academician Chen Fen'er, the university president and chairman of the Alumni Association, recently led a team to Shanghai to visit and pay respects to alumni representatives there. Leaders from relevant university departments and representatives from the Entrepreneurs Association in Jiangxi also participated in the visit.

During the visit, on behalf of the university, Chen Fen'er extended Spring Festival greetings and blessings to the alumni in Shanghai and their families, who had long shown deep affection for and supported the development of their alma mater. He briefed the alumni on the university's recent progress and achievements in disciplines construction, talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services. He listened to the work report of the Shanghai Alumni Association in recent years, gained a detailed understanding of the alumni's work, life, and career development in Shanghai, and acknowledged the active role played by the Shanghai Alumni Association in connecting with and serving alumni, rallying alumni efforts, and boosting the development of the alma mater. He expressed gratitude for the alumni's diligent contributions.

Chen Fen'er stated that alumni are the most precious asset and the strongest support for their alma mater, and the Alumni Association, as a crucial bridge connecting the alma mater and alumni, serves as an important platform for promoting collaborative development between the two parties. He hoped that the Alumni Association would take the opportunity of its leadership transition to further optimize its organizational structure, improve its operational mechanisms, and ensure smooth and efficient work progression. It should continuously expand its service offerings, innovate event formats, and effectively enhance the cohesion, solidarity, and influence of the Alumni Association. Additionally, it should fully leverage Shanghai's geographical advantage as the leading city in the Yangtze River Delta, build a bridge for cooperation, and promote both emotional connection and developmental collaboration, enabling the Alumni Association to become an important window for the alma mater to access resources in the Yangtze River Delta and serve economic and social development.

The alumni representatives in attendance shared their post-graduation struggles and offered suggestions and ideas on deepening university-enterprise cooperation, promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and supporting the high-quality development of their alma mater. The accompanying representatives from the Entrepreneurs Association in Jiangxi also engaged in discussions with the Shanghai alumni on relevant cooperation opportunities.
