On November 17, a delegation led by Rivoarison Randrianasolo, President of the University of Antananarivo in Madagascar, visited JXNU for exchanges. Zhu Xiaoli, Secretary of the Party Committee of JXNU, met with the guests in the First Reception Room of Zhixing Building. Zhou Lisheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of JXNU, along with leaders from relevant departments and faculties, also attended the meeting.
Zhu Xiaoli extended a warm welcome to Rivoarison Randrianasolo and his delegation and briefly introduced the basic situation of JXNU, particularly its achievements in talent cultivation, disciplinary development, scientific research, social services, and international cooperation and exchanges since the 14th Five-Year Plan period. He pointed out that the Confucius Institute jointly established by JXNU and the University of Antananarivo has been honored as a Global Model Confucius Institute and has received the title of Global Advanced Confucius Institute three times, becoming a shining cultural calling card of Madagascar and an important platform for cultural exchanges between China and Madagascar. He emphasized that JXNU is committed to implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's vision of promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, deepening solidarity and cooperation with developing countries, and implementing the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, Global Civilization Initiative, and Global Governance Initiative. Adhering to an open educational philosophy,JXNU hopes to further expand areas of cooperation, elevate the level of collaboration, promote educational exchanges, and comprehensively contribute to the development of educational cooperation and friendly relations between the two countries.
Rivoarison Randrianasolo expressed gratitude for the long-term support from JXNU and introduced the development history and disciplinary characteristics of the University of Antananarivo. He hoped that, based on the existing sound cooperation, the two universities would deepen exchanges, actively explore innovative cooperation models, jointly promote high-quality development of both universities, and inject new impetus into the friendship between China and Madagascar.
