On the afternoon of October 14, a delegation led by Minister Kirilin from the Ministry of External Relations and National Affairs of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic of Russia visited JXNU. Zhou Lisheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of JXNU, met with the guests at Zhixing Building, with representatives from the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, as well as leaders from relevant departments and colleges of JXNU also in attendance.
Zhou Lisheng extended a warm welcome to the delegation for their visit to JXNU and provided a brief introduction to the JXNU's history, educational characteristics, and international cooperation and exchange initiatives. He stated that as a member of the Sino-Russian Educational Universities Consortium, JXNU has always placed great importance on educational cooperation with Russia and hoped that this visit would facilitate the establishment of cooperative relations between JXNU and the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic in the field of education.
Kirilin introduced the educational landscape, natural environment, and resources of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic to the university, expressing a willingness to promote cooperation between universities in the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic and JXNU in areas such as faculty and student exchanges and cultural exchanges.
During the visit to JXNU, the delegation interacted with teachers and students from the Russian language major at the School of Foreign Languages and observed a presentation of teaching achievements by teachers and students from the School of Music.
