On the morning of September 22nd, the orientation meeting for the 2025 cohort of new students enrolled in the credit transfer-based joint cultivation program between JXNU and the University of Chester, UK, was held at the Music and Art Square. Zhou Lisheng, a member of the Party Committee Standing Committee and Vice President of JXNU; Linton, the Political Consul from the British Consulate General in Guangzhou; and David McClave, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chester, attended the event. Leaders from relevant departments, all new students enrolled in the joint cultivation program, and parent representatives also participated in the meeting.

During the orientation meeting, Zhou Lisheng, Linton, and McClave delivered speeches successively. Representatives of new students and parents also addressed the gathering. JXNU's International Student Dance Troupe and the 2025 cohort of new students presented a traditional cultural performance imbued with Chinese characteristics.

It is reported that the joint cultivation programs for the two undergraduate majors—Computer Science and Technology, and Artificial Intelligence—offered in collaboration between JXNU and the University of Chester are both housed within the School of Artificial Intelligence. The implementation of these programs has significantly enhanced the internationalization level of JXNU and opened up a new pathway for cultivating high-quality talent with international competitiveness.
