On March 20th, a delegation led by David McClave, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chester, and Kurt Allman visited JXNU. Zhou Lisheng, a member of the Party Committee Standing Committee and Vice President of the university, met with the delegation and signed a letter of intent for cooperation between the two universities.

Zhou Lisheng introduced the history and distinctive features of JXNU's educational endeavors. He stated that JXNU is currently advancing its internationalization process by vigorously introducing high-quality overseas educational resources and enhancing its capacity for cultivating globally competent talent. He expressed hope that the two universities could collaborate in areas such as credit transfer, student exchange, and faculty development.

McClave remarked that as the first teacher-training higher education institution in the UK, the University of Chester has established partnerships with multiple normal universities in China. Given the similar nature and academic programs of the two universities, they possess a solid foundation for cooperation. Subsequently, they will implement the relevant projects outlined in the memorandum based on the principle of starting with easier tasks before progressing to more challenging ones.

During their visit, the delegation also toured JXNU's history museum, attended an exhibition showcasing outdoor sketching works by oil painting students, and discussed a joint credit transfer and collaborative training program with the School of Computer and Information Engineering.
